Lions and Cheetahs and Hogs…Oh my!
Someone once told me that the Kruger Park is too big. Seeing animals is so hit or miss that you’re better off sticking with small game reserves. After traveling to the Kruger Park myself, I feel the need to respond to that statement: stuff that.
On a scale of one to sterling, Kruger was sterling on steroids. If ever you want to see leopard, jakal, lion kills and a billion elephants, go to the Kruger! Everywhere we looked there were birds, zebras, giraffes and the Big Five in abundance. We saw animals playing, eating, fighting, killing, mating and investigating out vehicle. Between blue skies, stunning scenery and amazing food (avocado appetizers while camping…this is the life!) it was a trip to remember. There was even a rogue elephant that chased us down the road while I screamed like a lunatic.
This is even more difficult to describe than Namibs, and it took me about three weeks to figure out what to write about Namibs. So while I search for some way of conveying to you what Kruger is, I’ll share a of my favorite pictures from the trip.
More to come!
Wow! I would love to go here! So glad you had a great time!
Thanks, Aunt Jo. Wish you could’ve been there!
Stunning guys! You were seriously blessed with everything you saw!!!!
It was absolutely unbelievable. Everything from the weather to the animals co-operated!
