Beyond Disney Travel Tips is all about…fun.  Travelling is fun.  Writing is fun.  Sharing travel pictures, tips and tales is fun.  Beyond Disney is focused on having fun with travel and encouraging you to have fun, too.

Travel can be a big, scary word.  To travel means to go into the unknown; to leave behind the comforts of home and jump without knowing where you’ll land.  It’s frightening, thrilling and exhilarating all in one.  And, as many of you know, it’s addicting.  Once you get that first taste of hopping trains and catching planes, you’re hooked.  Suddenly you’ve joined the ranks of the millions and billions who want to travel.

But wanting and doing are two different things.  Lots of people say they want to travel.  Fewer do.  Beyond Disney is here to help you make it happen; to prepare you for what’s to come (based on my own experiences), offer some advice and show off a few pictures that might inspire you to get moving.

I’m Katherine McKeon, the genius (?) behind Beyond Disney.  My doing began at age 14 when I started working two jobs to save up to travel.  Twelve years later, after living in five countries, visiting a few more and setting a US university record for study abroad programs I’m eager to do more.
